Sisseton 2012
Tuesday, July 31 is travel day... 6 hours from Rochester to Sisseton
Wed, Aug 1 we start the day with breakfast at the hotel and devotions. Then we prepare for VBS at 10am until noon. Most of the kids will join us for lunch at church. The afternoon is for handyman projects, then dinner together and an evening campfire with our Sisseton friends.
Thurs, Aug 2 & Fri, Aug 3 will follow the same schedule as Wed. Each day more kids hear about our VBS, so more kids will probably show up to share the fun.
Sat, Aug 2 is a basketball tournament in the city park. We brought hundreds of hot dogs to grill, lemonade, chips and cookies to share with anyone who joins us.
Sun, Aug 3 we say good bye to Sisseton after attending the morning worship service and a potluck lunch. Another 6 hour drive and we are home again.
We are so thankful for those who can join us this week through prayer.
Sisseton Team 2011
Because of the great response this year, we have 2 teams heading to Sisseton. The first team leaves Tues. July 26 and the second team joins them Fri. July 29 for the weekend. Then the first team heads home on Sunday and the second team on Wed. Aug. 3.
Our days will start with breakfast and devotions at the hotel followed by busy days at the church and within the community. After dinner we take time to get a good bonfire going (sometimes a really, really good bonfire) and sing songs, swap stories, and just hang out with our friends from Sisseton.

6pm - 8pm: Women's meeting at Dakota Alliance

10am - 1pm: VBS at Dakota Alliance Church
1pm - 5pm: Project work

9am - 12pm: Project work around town and on the reservation
12pm - 5pm: 3 on 3 city-wide basketball tournament
7pm - 10pm: rock concert in the city park featuring "Out of Time"

10:30am - 11:30am: Worship service with Sisseton Alliance Church
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Worship service with Dakota Alliance Church
1:00pm - 5:00pm: Family time
